Mon mémoire explore le rôle du design graphique dans l’actualisation des motifs traditionnels ukrainiens. Ces motifs, chargés d’une symbolique profonde, ont été historiquement transformés et menacés avant de renaître comme un langage visuel national. La recherche analyse les outils et les possibilités qu’offre le graphisme pour les adapter aux contextes contemporains, tout en sauvegardant leur identité fondamentale. L’étude vise à démontrer comment le design graphique peut dépasser la simple conservation, s’affirmant comme un moteur actif de la pérennité et de la réinvention de cet héritage culturel vivant.
Моя дипломна робота досліджує роль графічного дизайну в актуалізації традиційних українських мотивів. Ці мотиви, сповнені глибокої символіки, історично зазнавали трансформацій та загроз, перш ніж відродитися як національна візуальна мова. Дослідження аналізує інструменти та можливості, які пропонує графіка для їх адаптації до сучасних контекстів при збереженні їхньої фундаментальної ідентичності. Робота має на меті продемонструвати, як графічний дизайн може вийти за межі простого збереження, стверджуючи себе як активний двигун довговічності та переосмислення цієї живої культурної спадщини.
My thesis explores the role of graphic design in updating traditional Ukrainian motifs. These motifs, charged with deep symbolism, were historically transformed and threatened before being reborn as a national visual language. The research analyzes the tools and possibilities offered by graphics to adapt them to contemporary contexts, while safeguarding their fundamental identity. The study aims to demonstrate how graphic design can go beyond simple conservation, asserting itself as an active driver of the sustainability and reinvention of this living cultural heritage.
